Purpose Secnidazole (trade names Flagentyl, Sindose, Secnil) is a nitroimidazole anti-infective. Effectiveness in the treatment of dientamoebiasis has been reported. Secnidazole is structurally related to the commonly used 5-nitroimidazoles metronidazole and tinidazole.
