Characteristics Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) with Tween 20 is in a 20X concentration for use with immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques as a wash buffer. Tween 20 is added to promote more effective washings, resulting in decreased non-specific background staining. Tween 20 is also known to promote reagent spreading in automated staining methodologies.
Protocol Dilute the product 1:20 with deionized water. Example: 50 ml of concentrate diluted in 950 ml of deionized water. Note: In order to provide this product at 20X, the salts in solution are at a very high concentration. It has been found that at temperatures below 44°F (6°C), the salts fall out of solution. If this occurs during your shipment conditions, please stir the product to get the salts back into solution.

Precaution of Use 1. Take reasonable precautions when handling reagents. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
2. Avoid contact of reagents with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. If reagents come into contact with sensitive areas, wash with copious amounts of water.
3. Consult local or state authorities with regard to recommended method of disposal.
4. Avoid microbial contamination of reagents.
Storage RT
Storage Comment The user must validate any other storage conditions. When properly stored, the reagent is stable to the date indicated on the label. Do not use the reagent beyond the expiration date. There are no definitive signs to indicate instability of this product, therefore, positive and negative controls should be tested simultaneously with unknown specimens.
