Characteristics This product is a solution that enables target retrieval in formalin-fixed, paraffin- embedded tissue section. It is optimal for use of primary antibodies that require Tris- EDTA buffer, pH 9.0 pretreatment.
Protocol 1. Dilute buffer 1:100 with deionized water before use. Example: 2 ml of concentrate diluted in 198 ml of deionized water.
2. Place slides in a coplin jar containing diluted Antigen Retrieval Buffer

3. Cover with a vented plastic wrap and place the jar in the microwave. Set at high power to boiling, then set at low power to keep it warm for 10 minutes.
4. Let the slides cool in the microwave for at least 20 minutes.
5. Wash slides with tap water for 1 minute.
6. Wash slides in rinse buffer twice for 3 minutes.
7. Proceed with appropriate staining protocol for the primary antibody in use.

Precaution of Use 1. Take reasonable precautions when handling reagents. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
2. Avoid contact of reagents with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. If reagents come into contact with sensitive areas, wash with copious amounts of water.
3. Consult local or state authorities with regard to recommended method of disposal.
4. Avoid microbial contamination of reagents.
Storage RT
Storage Comment The user must validate any other storage conditions. When properly stored, the reagent is stable to the date indicated on the label. Do not use the reagent beyond the expiration date. Diluted reagent should be used promptly and is appropriate for one time use only.
